Privacy & Data Usage
This is a personal portfolio and blog. I respect your privacy and keep data collection to an absolute minimum. Here's exactly what happens when you visit.
Local Storage
This site uses browser localStorage to remember your preferences:
- Color scheme - dark or light mode
This data never leaves your browser. No cookies are set.
Analytics
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and doesn’t follow you between sites. It collects:
- Page views (aggregate counts, not individual tracking)
- Referrer information (how you found the site)
- Country-level location (derived from IP, never stored)
No personal data, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking.
Third-Party Services
- Contact Form
Messages submitted through the contact form are sent directly to me via FormSubmit. I don't share this information with anyone.
- Newsletter (Buttondown)
If you subscribe to new posts by email, your address is stored by Buttondown, the service that sends the emails. You only get added after confirming from your inbox (double opt-in), every email has an unsubscribe link, and your address is never used for anything else.
- Hosting (Vercel)
This site is hosted on Vercel. They may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, request times) for security and performance. See Vercel's privacy policy.
What This Site Doesn't Do
- No advertising or ad tracking
- No selling or sharing data with third parties
- No tracking pixels or social media trackers
- No newsletter without explicit opt-in
